CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME

I am so ashamed to call myself African, or black, even. 


White people, white nations etc are donating money to combart the ebola crises.

In all of these, I only see African, well, some African so called celebrities shooting videos and looking for few seconds of publicity. Some are still shopping for designer clothes, shoes and posting fancy cars on IG, facebook, twitter and co. Whatever happened to brotherly love? Those red sole shoes cost 2000 dollars or so I'm told. Some of these packaged noise stars own close to 10 pairs. I am expecting them to donate gloves, hazmart suits etc to Ebola stricken countries. But none of that seems forth-coming. 


Whatever happened to using their fame to embark on grassroots campaigns? charter a bus, head to the remote villages and educate their rural based fans on the disease? distribute immune system boosting drugs to the communities? Vitamin C, protein shakes, pills etc? They are quick to organise parties and invite media to come cover them celebrating their birthday with orphans or throwing all white parties among others. Unfortunately, it has not crossed their minds to organise themselves, pull funds and support lesser folks.  

I've come across photos of Joselyn Dumas engaging in market campaigns and distributing soap in a cholera eradication bid. How it effective that is, I do not know, but at least, it's a step in the right direction. 

No kidding, I just came out of production, if I had money, I'd have given. Although some friends and I are pulling to donate something very little to the CDC. If I tell you how much compared to the Zuckerberg 25mill, you'll roll around laughing. 

African leaders and African's themselves always brag about their new money. What is wealth if it doesn't positively impact the world?  They overpay themselves and underpay those who work for them. The practice of keeping themselves lords, high up there, looking down upon us the lesser ones. If they empower their subordinates, they might end up making something out of their lives and no one will worship them. Newsflash, there is more joy in giving, than in receiving! There is a joyous feeling, an exhilarating one that one experiences when you do good. It's better than a cocaine high I'm sure. 

The world will continue to ridicule the black-man unless he learns to love his brother and be independent and self-sufficient! We are always borrowing money, always receiving donations as African nations, but citizens live in the largest mansions, drive the fanciest cars! Pastors own airplanes, schools etc. I do not understand it.
